I’m happy to announce that the Chainwave Public Portfolio project will be giving back to those in need.
Decentralized Finance (#DeFi) is booming, and I feel it is important that we take care of our fellow humans as we grow exponentially.
Each year on Dec 10th, I will take a snapshot of the portfolio and donate 10% of portfolio profits to one or more Puerto Rico charities.
We will withdraw the amount needed from the public portfolio and get it into the hands those in need.
There is no requirement that the charity accept crypto payments - I will be getting the money to them however they need it.
How profits are calculated
We are keeping this simple:
Profits = Portfolio Value - Total Deposits.
In the example above, we currently have portfolio value of $6,466, with total deposits at $2,588
Profit: $6,466 - $2,588 = $3,878
Charity Donation = $387.80
I am looking forward to growing this portfolio with this new incentive.
My goal is to get at least $10,000 to Puerto Rico charities this year from this initiative.
